Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

The resume builder itself collects nothing on our servers. Every field you fill in — name, contact details, work history, education — is stored only in your browser's local storage on your own device. It is never transmitted to bestcv.in servers while you build or preview your resume, and it is never used for advertising, profiling, or sold to any third party.

2. What happens when you pay

To download your resume, you pay ₹49 through Razorpay, our payment processor. At that point, your name, email, phone number and payment details are shared directly with Razorpay to process the transaction — bestcv.in does not receive or store your card, UPI ID, or netbanking credentials at any point. Razorpay's own privacy policy governs how they handle that data.

Your PDF/DOCX file is generated entirely inside your own browser, after payment — your resume content is never sent to bestcv.in's servers at any point, including at export time. The only server involved anywhere in the payment step is Razorpay's own, plus a minimal payment-verification service of ours that only ever sees Razorpay's order ID, payment ID and signature — never your resume content.

3. Cookies and third-party requests

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which involves a request to Google's servers; no resume content is included in that request.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit the site and which pages they land on. It doesn't use cookies or any browser storage, and it isn't capable of identifying you individually or tracking you across other websites — it only reports anonymous, aggregate counts (like "how many visits" and "which country, roughly"). No resume content is ever part of this.

4. Your rights

Because your resume data lives only in your browser, you control it directly — clearing your browser storage or using the "Clear everything" option in the builder deletes it completely. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may also contact us to ask what limited data we hold (such as payment records retained for accounting/legal purposes) or to request its deletion, subject to our statutory record-keeping obligations.

5. Data retention

Resume content: never stored on any server — it exists only in your browser, before and after payment. Payment records: retained as required by Indian tax and accounting law. Support emails: retained only as long as needed to resolve your query.
